This page explains how Solid Timing’s research software reads public web pages, and how to ask it to stop.
SolidTimingAdmin is the web crawler operated by Solid Timing LLC. It was called SolidTimingBot until 18 September 2026. If you found this page from a line in your server logs, this is what visited you and what to do about it.
What it is
SolidTimingAdmin reads publicly available business web pages so that Solid Timing can prepare research for prospective clients. It is the kind of review a person would do by hand with a browser open, done by software instead. It identifies itself on every request. Most pages are read with this identification string:
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; SolidTimingAdmin/1.0; +https://solidtiming.co/processes; solidtiming@gmail.com)
Some pages, such as public business listings and ad libraries, are read with a standard Chrome browser. Chrome keeps its own identification, and our name is added to the end of it: SolidTimingAdmin/1.0 (+https://solidtiming.co/processes).
It is a small crawler run by a small company. It is not a search engine, and it does not resell, publish or redistribute what it reads.
What it does
- Requests pages that are publicly reachable without logging in.
- Reads a limited number of pages per site, at most about 25 a day. It starts with the pages that describe the business (home, contact, about, services, booking, hours) and then stops.
- Requests pages one at a time, and slows down if your site asks it to, through a
Crawl-delaydirective or aRetry-Afterheader. - Records the page address, the time it was read, and short excerpts relevant to the review.
- Notes business contact details published on the page: company name, business address, business phone number and business email addresses.
What it does not do
- It never logs in to your site. It sends no cookies, no credentials and no authorization headers, and it has no account on your site. The one place Solid Timing reads while logged in is LinkedIn, which Solid Timing’s owner reads with their own account, at a person’s pace, within LinkedIn’s daily limits.
- It never works around a technical control. No CAPTCHA solving, no proxy or IP rotation, and no disguising what the browser is or who is driving it.
- It does not submit forms, click buttons, place orders or change anything. It reads.
- It does not collect personal information beyond business contact details and, for a named decision-maker, the professional details a public business profile shows: name, job title, company, city and the profile’s own address.
- It does not gather health information, financial information, or anything about site visitors.
If you would rather it did not visit
Email contact@solidtiming.co with your domain name and we will stop visiting it. That is the permanent stop. It is handled by a person and honoured within ten business days. You do not have to give a reason, and you will not be asked for one. A stopped domain stays stopped.
What your site’s own responses do:
- A
403or429answer, a firewall page, or an “are you human” check ends that visit. The page, or the whole site, is left alone and tried again on a later day. If you send aRetry-Afterheader, we wait at least that long. We do not treat an automatic answer as a permanent “no”, because firewalls often block unfamiliar visitors by default. If you do mean “never”, email us. - A CAPTCHA or a login wall is never solved or bypassed. The visit ends there.
A note on robots.txt, stated plainly rather than left to be discovered: SolidTimingAdmin reads your robots.txt and honours a Crawl-delay as a pace limit, but it does not treat Disallow as a gate on what it fetches, and it records each time it read a page that robots.txt would have disallowed. We would rather tell you that than let you believe an opt-out worked when it had not. The email address above is the opt-out that works, and it is answered.
About email
If Solid Timing emails you, the message will say who it is from, carry our real postal address, and give you a working way to stop hearing from us. We will stop.
Where a page says its addresses are not to be used for unsolicited mail, we record that and do not email addresses found there. That is a legal line under the CAN-SPAM Act, and our software enforces it before a message can be written, rather than relying on a person to remember.
